Already have a will?
Does it still reflect your life?
Your family, your property, or the people you trust may have changed since you signed it.
Are the people you named still the right choices?
Does it reflect who you want to inherit today?
Do you have current medical and financial documents, too?
Steward helps you create new documents from its forms. It does not review or edit an uploaded will. If you have a trust, complex wishes, or questions about replacing existing documents, speak with an estate planning attorney first.

Answers about signing, updates, and getting legal help.
Can Steward update my existing will?
You can create a new will using Steward’s forms. Steward does not review or amend your existing will. Ask an attorney before replacing documents if you have questions about how they work with a trust or other plans.
Do I need a trust?
That depends on your circumstances and goals. Steward does not sell living trusts or decide whether one is right for you. Speak with an estate planning attorney about trusts, property in multiple states, a blended family, special-needs planning, or long-term-care planning. A will does not by itself avoid probate.
Can I save my progress?
Yes. Save your answers and come back when you are ready. The free Will Prep Guide can help you decide who to name.
What do I do after I download my documents?
Print them and follow the signing instructions for your state, including any witness or notary requirements. Downloading the documents alone does not make them legally effective.
Can I get legal advice through Steward?
No. Steward provides online forms, not legal advice. If you need advice about your family, property, or other circumstances, speak with a licensed attorney in your state. Read about fit and limitations.
How do free updates for life work?
Free updates for life includes one update every twelve (12) months for eligible packages, as described in Section 9.F of our Terms of Service. See full details.
Does the Married package create a joint will?
No. Each spouse receives separate estate-planning documents. The package covers two people.
