It's specific enough that your kids could say it back to you, in their own words, by the time they're old enough to understand what it means.
Most families never write this down, not because they don't have one, but because nobody ever asked them to find it. The story is usually already there, buried in the choices a family has already made without noticing. What you protect, what you sacrifice for, what you get strict about, what you let go of. Naming it isn't inventing something new, It's noticing what's already true and saying it out loud, on purpose, so it stops being an accident and starts being a choice.
Once a family names its story, it starts doing real work. It becomes the thing you actually run decisions through. Not everything deserves your time, and a real story tells you which things do. It becomes something the people who love your kids could read and understand what kind of home they came from. It becomes the first sentence of a legacy, instead of the last thing anyone thinks to write down.
